About Brambles

Brambles exists to help people care for the wildlife around them with confidence.

Recommended by wildlife rescues and hospitals, Brambles creates specialist complementary foods for hedgehogs, swans, ducks and other visiting wildlife, supported by clear, practical advice on responsible feeding and wildlife care.

Our products are developed with the nutritional needs of wild animals in mind and contain added vitamins and minerals. We carefully select our ingredients and do not add artificial colours, flavours or added sugar.

How Brambles began

Brambles was founded from a shared passion for wildlife and a belief that people needed better guidance about what to feed the wild animals visiting their gardens and local waterways.

The original range was developed by Gail and David Tracey, combining Gail’s background in biological sciences with David’s extensive experience in the specialist pet and wildlife sectors.

Their aim was to create carefully formulated foods that provided a more suitable alternative to many of the foods traditionally offered to wildlife.

The range is now recommended by wildlife rescues and hospitals, giving people added confidence when choosing food for visiting or vulnerable wildlife.

David continues to support Brambles, sharing the experience and knowledge built up since the brand began.

Brambles today

Today, Brambles is part of Fold Hill Pet, a family-owned British business with a longstanding connection to farming, animal nutrition and the countryside.

It is a natural home for Brambles. Both businesses share a respect for animals, an understanding of the rural environment and a commitment to creating dependable products that people can feed with confidence.

Becoming part of Fold Hill Pet has given Brambles the experience, resources and support needed to continue developing the brand while remaining true to the principles on which it was founded.

Our approach

We believe that supporting wildlife should be straightforward and responsible.

That means:

  • Creating foods developed specifically for the animals they are intended for
  • Providing clear and practical feeding guidance
  • Helping people understand what wildlife needs and what is best avoided
  • Supporting the wildlife rescues, hospitals and carers working to protect vulnerable animals
  • Encouraging simple actions that can make gardens and local environments safer for wildlife

Whether you are feeding a hedgehog visiting your garden or taking your family to feed the ducks, Brambles is here to help you make an informed choice.
